drop off someone at or near the bus stop

LTA has contracted 6 traffic wardens from a private company at S$34,000 annually to take down the licence plate numbers, make and colour of vehicles that intrude into bus lanes during peak hours. They are incognito with cameras, so don't be surprised if you are summoned though there are no Traffic Police around.

Here are some of the "danger zones" provided from a other sources.

1. Eunos Link
2. Hougang Ave 3
3. Jurong Town Hall Rd
4. Lorong Chuan
5. Orchard Rd
6. Upper Serangoon Rd
7. Upper Thomson Rd
8. Yishun Ave 2

FINE: S$130 for dropping someone off at or near the bus stop.

  2. LTA says it's OK to do Drop-Off and Pick-up at Bus Stops:
"At locations with parking restriction lines such as double yellow lines, centre continuous white line, vehicles may stop to carry out immediate pick up or drop off activity except at areas where stopping is prohibited. Such locations include areas with "No Stopping" signs, within zebra controlled zones or along roads marked with double yellow zig zag lines. The prohibition on stopping to pick up and drop off also applies to roads with bus lane markings (during operational hours)".
